This Cookie Policy explains how relnk.io ("we", "us", and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies. We keep it short: we use the cookies we need to keep you signed in. Our analytics stores nothing on your device unless you allow it inside the app. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't use Google Analytics.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps small settings on your device. Both let a site remember things between visits.

2. How We Use Cookies

Essential

Needed to sign in and use your account. Relnk doesn't work without them.

Analytics

PostHog helps us see which features are used and where people get stuck. By default it's cookieless. Inside the app we ask once whether you allow full analytics and session recordings; you can change your answer in Settings.

3. Cookieless by Default

  • Public pages, sign-up and log-in: PostHog counts page views without cookies or browser storage. It works out a temporary, privacy-preserving identifier on its own servers from your IP address and browser details, so we can count visits without storing anything on your device. These events carry no identifiers beyond that: no account or document IDs, and page addresses are cut back to the kind of page. They aren't linked to an account. There's no banner because nothing is stored.
  • Inside the app: the same cookieless counting, until you answer a one-time question. If you choose Allow, PostHog stores an ID on your device, links your usage to your account and records sessions with everything you type and all text on screen hidden. If you choose No thanks, nothing changes and we don't ask again. You can change your answer any time in Settings under Account. When you log out, the ID and your answer are removed from that browser, which goes back to cookieless counting.
  • Session recordings only ever happen inside the app, only after you allow them, and never show your words.
  • Campaign tags: if you follow a link with tags such as utm_source, our sign-up links carry them in the page address. If you sign up, we save them with the referring site on your account. Nothing is stored in your browser for this.

Some events, such as signing up, generating a draft and payments, are recorded by our servers rather than your browser. They use no cookies and don't depend on your answer. Our Privacy Policy lists them.

5. Managing Cookies

You can change your analytics answer any time in Settings under Account. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in. Blocking analytics cookies doesn't affect how Relnk works. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, PostHog doesn't run at all.
